New Makeup Haul !!

Not that I needed anything but I was totally craving new makeup.. I had been browsing youtube videos and after hearing different peoples reviews on makeup I decided to buy some they recommended and test them out myself.

I went to sephora with my list and bought a bunch of stuff which I am so excited to share with you.. I haven't tried everything out just yet- but I just listed everything anyway so you can go try them out if you fancy ;)

URBAN DECAY

 This is the first time since I was probably 16 years old that I bought an Urban Decay eye shadow.. The packaging feels "young" to me... But SO many girls were aways talking about their shadows and how great the pigments were that I decided to give it a try.. I tested a bunch in the store and fell in love. So here are the shades I bought. ( pictured above)

As you can see I tend to go for the gold, warm neutral shades.. Like I needed more of those colors.. I didn't- But, you like what you like. 

 Like I said I didn't have a chance to try out all of these shades yet- BUT I'm on the hunt for a great makeup travel case and plan on taking them all with me on my Holiday travels!!!

A few weeks ago I ordered the Urban Decay Naked2 eye shadow kit. It was sold out everywhere so I bought mine on Ebay... I paid double- but I didn't know if they would come out with more again or not. Sephora has the Naked "1" palette in stores, which I was told contains warmer shades? I may go grab that one too..

Then I moved over to Nars.. I don't' really know what I was looking for but I saw these 2 shades and thought they were really pretty and different from anything I have. So I picked them up

Whats in her Bag?!?!?

I was cleaning out my bag the other day and thought.. Why not do a post on 'whats in "her" bag' ... I would LOVE to know what other girls keep in their bag, hand bags, makeup bags and so on.. So I thought I would start small and begin with my makeup bag that I keep in my hand bag everyday.

1. KEVYN AUCOIN - eye lash curler. - I used to use the shu uemura eye lash curler and swore by it. But the KA one works just as good but opens wider making it way easier to curl your lashes. Get KA at Barneys :)

9021Go Store Opening Party

The 9021Go Boutique opening party was such blast.. I had my Hair and Makeup done at my house with my girl and new business partner Lilly Ghalichi by Etienne Ortega. I haven't had my hair and makeup done professionally like this in a long time and even my husband noticed a difference. 

The dress I wore is by Herve Leger. I wore it last NYE but recently had it shortened which gave it  a whole new look.

My shoes were from Christian Dior's Runway show- purchased at Saks.

Earings were the ones I wore on my wedding day by Pnina Tornai

A bunch of celebs came out for the Opening! A few of my favs were two of the Housewives of Beverly Hills; Camille Grammar and Kyle Richards. They were both super nice and just as if not even more beautiful in person. Janice Dickinson was also there and is a regular at the boutique.

I don't know why this pic didn't load in my blog..
Lately I have been noticing that i always get black under my eyes from my mascara. No matter what I do it always ends up there... I normally use Lancome Hypnose and swear by it.. Maybe it's bc I use latisse and my eye lashes are so long.. Either way- Im hunting for a new mascara that won't fall under my eyes.

There is a "new"( new for me) line in Sephora called Hourglass? Anyone know anything about it? I bought their Mascara in black, a Lip gloss in Siren red and a Nude lip liner pencil. I have to say I really love the quality of their products. The lip packaging is ok- LOL but that me just being picky. The lip color Siren red is amazing and almost looks like metallic on the lips.. If you like red I suggest trying this one out. I will post a pic of me with it on later.

Then I also picked up Dior Show Iconic mascara also in black.. I used to use and LOVE dior show. and Then I tried the Blackout and loved and now Im trying this one. Don't know how I feel yet.
 Please someone tell me what your favorite dior mascara is... And what the difference is.

Then I got Tarte- Ephaseyes to highlight my bottom inner lips.. It will help open and brighten my eyes...

And last but not least- I picked up Lorac 3D Liquid Lustre... I thought originally it would serve as a base for my MAC startles.. But it is actually beautiful on its own.. Theres so many uses for it- will blog some of my favs.

My current Skin care and Favorite Foundations !!!

Since my last skin care blog a lot of my products have changed. My skin constantly goes through changes but I have to say it's the best it has been in a long time. Stress definitely doesn't do justice to our skin.

I have also been on a medication called spironolactone for a couple of weeks now. Maybe it's a combination of the 2 but whatever it is.. it's working.


















I started seeing a new Dr to "remove" the rest of the injections that were in my upper lip. His name is Dr. Dan Taheri and he is located in Westwood, CA. While there for the removal injections I asked him about my skin. Like most dermatologists with their own products, they convinced me to buy some... and so I did. And to my surprise I actually really LOVE the quality and constancy of his skin care products and plan on sticking with them for a long time.

I started using his facial wash called:
Lacti Cleanse purifying cleanser.
It's 100% soap free and it's worked really nicely on my skin. It's not drying and not oily- you feel super clean!

After I wash my face I use his Medicated facial pads called:
 Daily HA pads.
This contains .5% salicylic acid which helps with acne. I sweep this open my entire face mooring and night after cleansing.

Then Ill apply one of 2 things:
Either Dr. Taheri's Retinol.2 gel.

or

Dr. Lancers 10% Glycolic  facial cream.

Normally in the a.m Ill use the Glycolic cream before my moisturizer and Ill use the retinol cream at night. If I get too dry I'll use the glycolic 2x a day.

The retinol cream has such an amazing texture.

The glycol cream sort of tingles on your skin- it  helps to exfoliate and eliminate dead skin cells
"Glycolic acid works as an exfoliating agent because of its high acidity but easy solubility. When placed on the skin as part of an exfoliating cream or gel, glycolic acid goes under the damaged upper layers of skin and destroys the 'glue' which holds dead skin to the surface. "


Retinol is -the pure form of vitamin A.

" It is used in many anti-aging creams to diminish and prevent the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The retinol stimulates collagen production to help prevent the signs of aging. Collagen is what gives the skin its youthful appearance and as we age the collagen and elastin in our skin naturally breaks down. Collagen helps the skin to look plump and healthy."

As my moisturizer  I switch between 2 different ones depending on how my skin is.

One is called Moisture Therapy by Dr. Taheri- 

it is an Oil free clarifying moisturizer. 

I absolutely LOVE this moisturizer. It almost has that second skin feel.. It's super matte but not drying and I just swear by it. I use this only in the a.m.

Or

If I'm getting dry Ill switch to Dr. Lancers Nourish moisturizer. 

It's a bit thicker and leaves my skin shiny drink the day.. I notice anyway. So I use this mainly at night or not he weekend when I don't plan on wearing any makeup.




A few new foundations I have been trying out:


I don't wear foundation all the time. Mainly just at night or for an event. But lately I've started to look into which ones work best for me and I found a few I would like to share.

1. Terracotta Skin- Healthy Glow foundation; second-skin effect. #02 brunettes
I have been using what I like to refer to as a "tinted moisturizer". It's super light and this one I actually will use sometimes during the day.
Heres what Sephora says:

2. Laura Mercier tinter moisturizer spf 20- oil free. Color- Almond
I've had this one for a while now and love it. Except it takes a lot to get it matte. It's very shiny and I feel like it gets on my clothes a lot easier... I only wear this one at night.

3. Bobbi Brown SPF 15 tinted moisturizer. Color- Medium tint.
I just recently bought this one because my good friend, afce of Have Faith Swimwear and make-up artist Rachel Bernstein uses it and LOVES it. She says it dries matte and gives just the right amount of color and coverage. I'm going to wear it tomorrow and see how it goes. Update to follow.

4. Make Up Forever- HD High Definition foundation. #153
I really love this HD foundation. I only put this on for events or at night. For me.. It's heavy for the day. But the color and coverage is amazing. Kim Kardashian uses this foundation ( i saw in a makeup tutorial video). It's not too matte and not too shiny.. Perfection

5. ARMANI - Lasting Silk UV Foundation- # 7
I've been dying to try this foundation for a while. Everyone RAVES about it and swears its the best. I went to Barneys and asked for a sample of 2 of their top foundations. The first is the Lasting Silk. I'm a number 7 in this because the color runs a bit lighter than the other. I still have to really use this and see how it works. I was told the different between the 2 is one is a a little more matte than the other. I haven't figured out which one yet but an update will come soon <3

6.ARMANI- Luminous Silk Foundation- #6.5
Same as above I haven't tried it yet. An update will follow <3

7. Chanel Concealer- Correcteur Perfection- #20
I'm in LOVE with this concealer for under eyes. It's dewy and the perfect shade. I can use it during the day with just bronzer or at night with a foundation. Deff worth the try.

VERSACE for H&M !!!!!

So.. Yet again another top luxury clothing brand has made its way to the masses. VERSACE has put out a collection for H&M and it will be available IN STORES ONLY starting November 19th.... Like in 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!And it's for both Men and Woman might I add.. I may be really late on this announcement but none the less Im sharing in with you incase you too didn't already know.  I have mixed feelings about all these luxury brands working with "main stream" stores.. Don't get me wrong;  I LOVE IT and HELLS YES I will be camping out and on line with my girl Lilly- wearing sweats, sneakers and my hair thrown back- black friday style LOL... but I will probably be way more hesitant to go into a Versace store (anytime soon anyway) and spend a crazy amount on a dress...Right?!?!?!?

Anyway- the Versace collection for H&M looks AMAZING.. They have pieces ranging from $17 for mens undies to $299 for a studded dress. It's expensive for H&M yes I agree.. BUT wayyyy less for Versace. I'm so curious to see the quality. There are so many CUTE dresses I see that I want and accessories.. Leather belts- YES PLEASE!!! Keep in mind girls that if they dresses and so on doesn't fit perfect- It's so worth it to take to a tailor and have them make it fit just right! Thats my plan.

I predict this to be like a missoni for Target episode- although H&M is smarter and will only have the collection available in stores- probably so their entire site doesn't crash like Targets did. LOL.... NOT FUNNY; I didn't get 1 damn thing from Missoni for target. UGHhh! BUT I can only imagine what the store is going to look like that morning... Ill be prepared this time.
